Refurbishment Work – Fundraising

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

We pray you’re in the best of health an Imaan.

Since 2016, Madina Masjid has been upgrading its facilities to better cater to the needs of our community. In 2016, we began with Phase 1 of the project, which renovated the madrassa facilities, including refurbishing 4 and making way for 5 new classrooms. We also built wash room facilities specifically for madrassa students. This was completed within the budget of £150,000.

Phase 2 commenced in 2018, which saw the main prayer hall be completely renovated in a magreb style and the introduction of a mezzanine floor for the sisters. This project was also successfully completed within the budget of £175,000.

Alhamdulillah, you are all witness to the benefit your donations have made to this Masjid and our community. From a dedicated hifz class at full capacity producing huffaz annually, our state of the art supplementary school catering for 275 children, a floor for women, youth clubs, foodbank and numerous dawah and outreach activities.

Our aim has always been to build a solid sustainable foundation that future generations can benefit from. This ramadan, we are hoping to put into motion the plans for Phase 3. Our renovation has been staggered for several years. The key purpose of this was to break the entire renovation project into smaller, more manageable projects.

Phase 3 will overhaul the entrance to the masjid as well as create a user-friendly wudu facility. The estimated cost for this project is £200,000 and we have provided renderings (see below) of what the architects envision the final product to look like.

Once again, we ask the people of Keighley to help us raise key funds to complete the refurbishment of the masjid. We have introduced a new card reader in the Masjid to help take donations and we’re now able to take online donations through our website:
